DIRECTIONS TO LIONEL

From Northern Johannesburg,
Sandton and Pretoria:

• Take Ben Schoeman highway to Johannesburg.
  
  
• Continue south along M1 South
  
  
• Take M31 - JOE SLOVO DRIVE (used to be Harrow Road off ramp) off
  ramp. Follow curve to left and pass straight through traffic light intersection.

• Continue along for about 60 metres, passing traffic lights on your right, ignoring them.
  
  
• Road then forks about 40 metres ahead - take LEFT HAND fork. (Right hand fork has a traffic light, which takes you to Hillbrow).
  
  
• After fork, continue along road as it curves sharply to right and then goes under bridge. (Louis Botha Avenue above you).
  
  
• After the bridge, the road inclines steeply upwards to a traffic light intersection with RALEIGH STREET, 20 metres along.
  
  
• Turn LEFT into Raleigh.
  
  
• Take FIRST LEFT into GRAFTON ROAD.
  
  
• FIRST LEFT again into HUNTER STREET.

From East Rand and eastern Johannesburg suburbs:


• Take the R21 into Johannesburg.
  
  
• Pass Eastgate on your left.
  
  
• At the next traffic light, turn right to pass Bruma Flea Market on your right.
  
  
• Follow the road as it curves left, continuing straight along (This is now MARCIA ROAD)
  
  
• Marcia becomes OBSERVATORY ROAD. Continue along until you reach a traffic light at the intersection of DE LA REY. Here the road becomes a one-way with the oncoming traffic facing you, which is now Rockey Street. Turn RIGHT into De la Rey.
  
  
• Take the first street LEFT (HUNTER STREET).
  
  
• Continue straight along Hunter Street until the very last block.

From West Rand and western Johannesburg suburbs:


• Find you way to EMPIRE ROAD.
  
  
• At the intersection of Empire and Clarendon Place, turn LEFT - this becomes LOUIS BOTHA AVENUE.
  
  
• Continue along Louis Botha. After the sharp curve to your right, count four traffic lights.
  
  
• At the fourth traffic light, turn RIGHT into GRAFTON ROAD.
  
  
• Count three streets to your right. At the third, turn RIGHT into HUNTER STREET.

From Norwood / Orange Grove:


• Find your way to LOUIS BOTHA AVENUE, travelling towards the City Centre.
  
  
• Continue along Louis Botha, passing through the Bends in Houghton, past King Edward VII School on your right.
  
  
• From King Edward School traffic light intersection, count three traffic lights.
  
  
• At the third traffic light, turn LEFT into GRAFTON ROAD.
  
  
• Count three streets to your right. At the third, turn RIGHT into HUNTER STREET.

From the south of Johannesburg:


• Find your way onto the M2 East.
  
  
• Take the M31 - JOE SLOVE DRIVE offramp ( used to be HARROW ROAD off-ramp)
  
  
• Continue along M31 for a number of kilometres, passing Doornfontein and Ellis Park Rugby Stadium on your right, Berea/Hillbrow on your left, until you get to the traffic light intersection with RALEIGH STREET which is the main street that runs through Yeoville (and becomes ROCKEY STREET).
  
  
• Turn RIGHT into RALEIGH.
  
  
• Take the first LEFT into GRAFTON ROAD.
  
  
• First LEFT again into HUNTER STREET.
